How to support HQ Coaching and Engage for Africa

ENGAGE FOR AFRICA

HQ Coaching is Merseyside's leading school sports coaching organisation and was started by Matthew Houghton.  He employs  a team of specialist coaches who bring their skills in Football, Dancing, Basketball, Cricket, Hockey and a wide range of other sports to local schools. Their contracts are growing in the North West of England.

When Matt collect nearly 800 sets of football shirts from the children he was coaching he brought them all to Uganda in February 2009 and made a lot of would be Steve Gerrard or Phil Neville very happy.

And when he returned home he started "Engage for Africa" and has committed to raise about £2000 per year to provide sports resources at Good Shepherd and at St Zoe's schools.

Matt and fellow coach Phil came out again in 2011 and ran courses at both St Zoe's and at Good Shepherd. There is a real passion for sport in Africa and Matt is working on plans to develop this further.
